Sacramento Youth Symphony on steps

As our spring travel season comes to a close, we’d thought it’d be nice to travel back in time to highlight a memorable spring performance tour of Europe, courtesy of the Sacramento Youth Symphony Orchestra from California.

This youth orchestra spent 10 days traveling around Europe and performing in Salzburg, Prague and Vienna. In between performances, the group experienced the culture, the sights and the cuisine of some of the world’s most musically-inspired cities.

The group performed at the following venues:

• Carabinieri Hall of the Salzburger Residenz
• Dvorak Hall of the Rudolfinum
• Chapel of the Schonbrunn Palace

A highlight for most on this international music tour was a walking tour of Salzburg, which included a stop at Mozart’s birthplace, the Mozartplatz, the Cathedral, Pegasus Fountain and the stunning Mirabell Gardens.
