Guest blogger Erik Peregrine (pronouns: they/them or he/him) is the artistic director of Ensemble Companio, an award-winning Northeastern chamber choir. Peregrine has previously held a variety of conducting and teaching positions across North America, including with the Woodbury Chorus & Orchestra, One Voice Mixed Chorus, Saint Paul Conservatory for Performing Artists, and numerous community ensembles. In demand as a guest clinician and lecturer, he frequently presents on topics related to diversity in choral music, transgender vocal pedagogy, and LGBTQ+ issues.
