Los Angeles Concert Hall

Do your future performance tour plans include traveling to California with your ensemble? Check out these top 5 performance venues in the area for your concerts!

1. The Walt Disney Concert Hall

Perhaps one of the most famous concert halls in the entirety of California is the Walt Disney Concert Hall in Los Angeles, California. A beautiful performance venue with stunning architecture, the concert hall features the world-famous California Philharmonic as its orchestra on retainer, with the Los Angeles Master Chorale group performing on a regular basis as well. With an architecture that highlights acoustics, ensuring that the entire hall is filled with the classical melodies, the 2265-seat hall is considered the crown-jewel of Californian classical music.

2. Hollywood Bowl

The Hollywood Bowl is one of the most prestigious performance venues in the entire Los Angeles region. It has featured artists and groups like the LA Philharmonic and violinist Joshua Bell over the past few years and promotes classical music during their summer season every Tuesday and Thursday. The stage is actually outdoors, but features high-quality sound systems that ensure that every one of the 17,000+ seats gets a strong dose of sound.

3. The Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre

The summer home of the Pacific Symphony Orchestra, the Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre is Irvine, California’s most well-known facility for the performing arts. With over 16,000 seats, the outdoor Amphitheatre is equipped with some of the best sound mechanics in the business to ensure that every concertgoer hears the sounds of their favorite orchestra perfectly.

4. San Francisco Classical Voice

One of the only theaters in California to feature solely classical music and operas, San Francisco Classical Voice has played host to performers and maestros like Osmo Vanska, Wu Man, Hank Dutt and Jeremy Denk. Though the hall only hosts around 1000 seats, it has performances year-round, often having numerous artists each week to keep material fresh and audience members coming back for more of the finest classical music.

5. Hollywood Palladium

With 4000 seats and a very retro look about it, the Hollywood Palladium hall is legendary in California as one of the common haunts of artists like Frank Sinatra and Tommy Dorsey. It also features local classical music and several concerts per year with orchestras from all around the country. It was also one of the common locations where the Grammy Awards were hosted throughout the 1970s.
