Boston’s Musical Tradition on the 4th of July

Confetti raining down at the 35th Boston Pops Orchestra and Fireworks Spectacular

In my opinion, Boston is one of the best places to be on the 4th of July. The city is so alive: the crowds watching the USS Constitution turn around in the harbor, the U.S. Navy Blue Angels flying overhead, and best of all, the Boston Pops Orchestra performing on the Esplanade in conjunction with the spectacular fireworks show. Spectators come by the thousands to scope out a good picnic spot along the Charles River and await the show.

The Boston Pops show is legendary and being there in person is an unforgettable experience. I think it’s fantastic that orchestral music is the chosen genre for this huge celebration in Boston!

Sabrina Nikolov

Sabrina was classically trained on the piano when she started taking lessons at the age of 8. She pursued her musical talent further and performed in college. Sabrina still considers playing the piano one of her greatest passions, although she’ll admit it's more of a hobby at the moment. In addition to the piano, Sabrina started singing at a young age and she was a member of the Chorale during her university years. With her college choir, she proudly performed in Italy.
